CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT

New Build Prison, Cork City.
To provide the complete shell of the entire prison Block including the secure Gatehouse Block, Visitor Centre and the Sports Hall. Including the external security wall surrounding the site. This perimeter wall also includes a circular anti climb capping element

PROPORTION OF PROJECT UNDERTAKEN

The entire shell works inclusive of the external perimeter security wall. The main prison cell wing is to be entirely in precast by ourselves and the education wing is to be external insulated panels only and floor slabs with the internal supporting structure provided by the main contractor in the form of a steel frame. The gatehouse and visitor centre are also only external insulated walls and slabs. The sports hall is entirely in precast with the external walls spanning clear up to the roof and this then secured to the tops of the walls.

FUNCTION / ROLE

We provide the full design/co-ordination/detailing service for the precast elements from receipt of the Architects and Engineers drawings. Once this is done and approved by the client we then manufacture the elements in our carousel factory, deliver them to site and install the units. We also provided the erection crews and supervisors to control the erection to ensure programme and quality is met.
